Following his 4th and 2nd place finishes in rounds 1 and 2 at Sebring, Brian Alder heads to Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, Ala. April 21-22, for rounds 3 and 4 of IMSA Prototype Challenge Championship. He’ll be driving the No. 22 TOP1 Oil MPC car.
The Mazda Prototype Challenge series has never competed at Barber. Given how quick and nimble these cars are, and how the complex 2.38-mile road course rewards those two characteristics, expect a very competitive race.
“The field is really competitive this season,” said Brian. “Hopefully, we can continue our success building on the strong start at Sebring. Like all the other teams, our goal is to be in the running for the Championship. Given our relationship with Top1 Oil, we’d really like to bring them a win. We’re extremely proud of our relationship. Knowing we have a partner whose product actually helps win races, well… that’s a pretty special.”
“Top1 will be with us at Barber, “ added Brian. “They’ll be here meeting with fans and giving out information about their products and the benefits to using Top1 in your daily driver. Like I say, we trust it in the race car, so it has to be good!”
Brian’s No. 22 car will again carry a red livery emphasizing his continued partnership with TOP1 Oil.

TOP 1 Oil
For nearly 40 years, the TOP 1 brand has been built on a foundation of core values and beliefs that define who we are and provide the framework for how we operate. Formed by a unique partnership between two men from distinctly different backgrounds, cultures, and generations. On their own, they had little in common, but together they shared a bond based on trust, a passion for superior quality, and an indomitable “can do” spirit. We chose from day one to only source the highest quality raw materials. This is the only way we know – this is our passion. We chose from day one to only source the highest quality raw materials. This is the only way we know – this is our passion. In the spirit of our founders TOP 1 is a family that crosses barriers and joins people from around the world to hold in their hands a brand they call their own. We are grateful for the opportunities that our brand have brought us yet everyday we see opportunities to make our world better. We know we can’t change the world but we must make a difference no matter how big or small. By giving back to those who are less fortunate we open a door to hope and inspiration.
