This classy and unique fiberglass car was professionally built in the early 90's in a factory, not a garage, using a 1978 Mustang V6 engine and frame. The steering is rack and pinion and very positive and the car handles wonderfully. The 4 speed manual transmission gives you that true sports car feel. The car has power steering. power brakes, special Holly carborator, headers with dual beautiful sounding mufflers, and some chrome parts on the engine. The interior has a Kenwood stereo system with CD and power antennae, walnut dash with full instrument panel including a tach, and the upholstery is like new with custom sheep skin seats covering it. The top is brand new with a new boot cover. The tires are like new. This car has very few miles on it and runs and drives like new.
The history of the Mercedes 500K "Marlene" model is interesting indeed. It was originally custom-made for Hollywood film star Marlene Dietrich. This is of course a replica and resembles the classic in every way; however, an original 1935 Mercedes 500K "Marlene" sells today for around $1 million. This is a fun car to drive and turns a lot of heads!
